Each week, we will define a term in each of these of areas: general paranormal studies, ghosts & hauntings, cryptids, aliens & UFOs, non-human entities, psychic abilities, and magic. Let us know if there are any terms you’d like to see defined!
General Paranormal Studies
Monotheism - Belief in one God or single all-knowing deity
Ghosts & Hauntings
EVP or Electronic Voice Phenomenon - A voice that is heard on a recording device upon playback that was not heard with the audible ear at the time of the recording
Cryptids
Distribution Anomalies - well-known animals found in places where they were thought to be extinct or were never found previously
Aliens & UFOs
Project Grudge - Continuation of Project Sign, official US Air Force project to investigate UFOs in 1949
Non-Human Entities
External Affliction - Physical attacks from a demonic entity resulting in scratches, burns, bite marks, or similar
Psychic Abilities
Psychokinesis - The ability to influence or move physical objects with your mind, without physical interaction; includes not only moving an object, but such things as bending or breaking an object or influencing the outcome of a coin toss or similar
Magic
Book of Shadows - The journal of a practitioner of witchcraft containing spells, rituals, and their results
